I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW

You know that song..."I can see clearly now the rain is gone, I can see all obstacles in my way..."
Well the rain has finally exited woo hoo!

The sun is in the forecast for hopefully the rest of the week.
If you have no plans for this weekend, Mama and I ask that you join us in attending a few fundraising efforts in the City.

Both events are for the Northern Japan Relief efforts:

Saturday, April 2 10am - 6pm:
KokuaJapan San Francisco Disaster Relief Benefit Concert - Peace Plaza Jtown

Sunday, April 3 Noon - 5pm:
Japan Relief Gathering Cars Show & Meet - Pier 30

We're all hoping that soon it truly will be a "bright shiny day" for the people of Northern Japan.

Please don't let their struggles be yesterdays news, keep supporting the relief efforts throughout the Bay Area & wherever you are.

SNACKS & SLEEP

There are 2 things that absolutely love (other than my Mama & Dad)...SNACKS & SLEEP

I can eat snacks any time of day if Mama lets me and well need I say more about sleep?

I can sleep anywhere. On Mama's lap.

Under the kotatsu (heater table) next to Mama's leg.

In Dad's arms...

Oh if you look closely I have eye buggers.

In Japanese they have a saying "Yoku neru ko wa yoku sodatsu."
Translation: a child who sleeps alot will be raised well."
Well folks I am a good example.

Now for snacks!

Mama bought some La Boulange Bakery Oatmeal Cookie Dough.

When they came out of the oven, I just stared.

And stared...

Okay Mama can we finish this blog and eat some cookies???

Good night!

Praying for All the People and Animals in Northern Japan

The recent earthquake & tsunami in northern Japan has destroyed what used to be homes, schools, shops, farm land and much much more. Many lives were lost both human and animals. Mama, Dad and I watched in horror the path of destruction the tsunami created. Mama's eyes filled with tears. I rarely see Mama cry.

The news that came out of Japan was not all sad. There were many stories of survival, of kindness, of humanity and goodwill. There was one story that really touched my heart and made me proud to be a doggie. It's about 2 dogs that somehow survived the tsunami and how one of them stood by his injured friend until help came. You can watch the video here:

I hope and pray for all the men, women, children and their four legged family members and that each day there is another story of goodwill and compassion.

My heart is heavy, but I know that if we all band together it will all lead to something good.

Please give generously to the many relief efforts and please don't forget about the relief efforts for the animals that also need your help.

I Found My Elephant BF

My Auntie Monica showed Mama a video on an elephant sanctuary. Here the elephants get to live their lives in peace and harmony. They also meet other elephants and become best friends. Although most of the elephants pair off, there is one elephant that has a BF that is.....yup a canine four legged doggie.

One day the doggie got sick and couldn't come out to play with her BF elephant. The doggie stayed indoors at the sanctuary and every day the BF elephant would come by the gate and wait and wait.

Staff at the sanctuary saw this and brought the doggie out. And oh boy that was a tear jerker moment.

Mama had a dream that night. She dreamt that I had an elephant BF.

Look Mama that wasn't a dream!! I found my BF Elephant Daisy. She was here all along. She just got lost in the house and finally found her way to moi!

Daisy and I had so much catching up to do. It has been waaaaay too long.

Although in the video, the elephant was waaay bigger than the doggie, Daisy and I aren't too different in size.

I know some of you are thinking... "Teppei, Daisy is waay smaller than you!!"

The nerve. Remember this was a touching moment.

If you would like to view the story on FB click here.

Thank you Auntie Monica for sharing the story and for reminding me that friends come in all sizes, shapes, and colors.

I Always Feel Like Somebody's Watching Me

Do you ever have a feeling that someone is watching you while you sleep?
I had that feeling the other day.

I felt something staring at me. Kinda creepy if you know what I mean.

And I was in deep sleep too. I couldn't shake the feeling that something, someone was watching me.

Maybe when I wake up I should call the FBI Profiler crew (Criminal Minds).
BTW Mama loves that show.

Or maybe I should call Rockwell to see what he did (for those of you too young, he sang that song "I Always Feel Like Somebody's Watching Me."

I found the Un Sub. A sneaky pink weasel at that!

He smells okay.

He doesn't seem to be a threat.

But just to be sure, I'll chew up his nose.

I knew somebody was watching me.
Oh, I chewed up the weasel's eye so he won't be watching me anymore.

Ko Chan is in Da House

This past Saturday, the newest member of my Mama's family came for a visit.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please give it up for Mama's grand nephew (yup that is correct GRAND Nephew)
Koichiro Max Nakahara (proud parents, Uncle Daichan and Auntie Masako)

He was born last October and is now 5 months old.

We call him Ko-chan. Isn't he the cutest?

Kochan and I are pretty close in size. I may be a few pounds bigger.

He is a very sturdy little baby. I think he'll be running around in no time.
That means maybe running after moi!

He loves the camera, just like me.
Except in this photo I forgot to look into the camera.

Here he is all snuggled up in his carry thing.
He loves all his stuffed animals too. Just like moi.

He has a nice round head like moi. Gotta love the round head.

I hope Ko-chan comes visits again. I look forward to playing with him.

WAIT. I don't play. I'll watch him play!

Sprouting a Thought

So I was thinking today about the effects of my pee-peeing on trees is doing to our earth.
I know when I pee on grass it gets a little yellow (especially when I pee on the same spot day after day).

I kept thinking and thinking about it....

Something started to sprout on top....

Mind you I'm still thinking about the effects of my peeing on trees.

Then it hit me.

I gotta go pee.

Save the earth everyone.
Recycle, Reuse, oh and Compost.

Hina Matsuri - Girl's Day

Happy Girl's Day Everyone!!!

Mama decorated the home with all her Girls Day dolls that she received from her girlfriend Mami-chan & my Auntie Michiko.

The boy doll above isn't as fancy as the girl.

Look at the many layers of kimono she is wearing! She must be hot.

This boy looks like he ate too many sakura manjyu.

She ate too much too. One more too many I think.

Mama wanted to dress me up in a kimono, but I refused.
So since it is a matsuri, I agreed to wear my Hapi coat (from Uncle Kei & Auntie Michiko)

Mama where's my Sakura Manjyu????

WHAAAT??? Mama you didn't go to Benkyodo to pick up any?

I'm going to bed. At least I can dream about eating some yummy Sakura Manjyu.

Good Night!

Welcome to Teppei Boy!

Teppei is the name of our boy. Ok ok he is a pug, but to me and my husband he is our little boy. He's brought so much joy into our lives and continues to entertain us with his facial expressions that say so much. And that is why I have started this blog, to share with you Teppei's photos and what he's wanting to say.

I'm hoping to chronicle his life here so that you can see how much this little boy means to us.

Now without further a do...My Teppei Boy
